Our solar PV monitoring solution includes,

 

Bi-directional Wi-Fi power meter: single phase pv energy monitor(WEM3080) and 3 phase energy meter(WEM3080T).

Bi-directional monitor solar energy

 

WEM3080(single-phase energy meter) and WEM3080T(The 3 phase electronic energy meter also supports split-phase usage which means it can be used as three single-phase energy meters.) can be used to monitor your solar PV system. Both single-phase energy meter and three-phase meter are bi-directional. If the energy meter is installed on the grid side, both export and import energy parameters (consume power, feed-in power, energy consumed from the grid, energy exported to the grid) can be measured simultaneously.

 

If your grid system and inverter are both single-phase, you can use one three-phase energy meter (recommend) or two single-phase energy meters to monitor your solar PV system. Compared to using two single-phase energy meters, using one three-phase energy meter to monitor the solar PV system has such advantages.

 

Support net energy metering: this 3 phase energy meter supports both normal metering mode and net energy metering mode.

All three-phase power measurement is sampled at the same time. So there is no synchronized problem when calculate the load power by the inverter power and grid power.

By installing only one WEM3080 in your single phase solar PV system, you can monitor two-way power and energy , the energy consumed from grid and exported to grid simultaneously.

 

2.2 Monitor both inverter and grid by one three phase energy meter (WEM3080T)

By installing only one WEM3080T in your single phase solar PV system, and clamping the first CT onto grid, the second CT onto solar inverter side and the third CT onto load if applicable (you can also leave the third CT unclamped if not needed), you can monitor "From Grid" (the energy consumed from the grid), "To Grid" (the energy imported to the grid) and the energy produced by solar inverter. You will also see the direct self-use energy and the energy consumed by your load.
